Here's the whole story from our own ACE reporter, SAO Chick Jeni!

I left the hotel, ready to meet Ace, at 4:15pm...

arrived at the coffeehouse at 4:30. Upon arriving, there was an area where a bunch of cops were convened...a lightbulb goes off that says Ace isn't here yet, so I decide this is the perfect place to stand. As I'm standing there, there's some tall blonde girl standing in front of me with the book "KISS and Tell"...and I made mention rather loudly..."Someone should tell her to put that book away cause that ain't gonna make Ace too happy!" I then see this tall blond walk over to this short little weasly looking guy (y'know...a cross between a weasel & a rat) and the two of them proceed to walk up to a female officer. They have the book open to some page with a picture on it, and the tall blonde is telling the female officer "...he'll show you his ID...we dont want you to think we're some kind of crazy fans!" it was at that moment another lightbulb went off and I said that's fuckin gerbert!! It took every ounce of control I possess to not walk over to the weasly-assed motherfucker and fuckin just pound on him!! (yeah...I coulda took him!) Then the cop says to her "I think y'aller crazy!" Then the tall blonde hands the book to a child who I assume is their kid...whose name is (how fucking sick is this??) Jeanette! and instructed her to go put the book in the car. About 2 minutes later, the cops pull the barricades back...and ACE arrives...in a super stretch...super cool...hummer limo...with the crowd sreaming "Hell yeah!" and assorted "WoOoO!"s and then the chanting began..."ace" "Ace" "ACE" "ACE!!!" While the crowd was getting excited...the weasly-ass rat motherfucker sneakily re-positions himself onto ACE's side of the barricade! Ace gets out of the limo to a roaring cheering crowd of fans and makes it about 5 steps past the barricade, then turns around and says "Get that motherfucker outta here!!" and you guessed it, he's pointing at Gerbert! (gerbert's the one in the denim shirt...see what i mean by short weasly motherfucker?)

Ace makes his way through the line of VIPs, slapping our hands in hi-fives as he walks by.

My number was 93, it seems like a bad number to have...in actuality, it was the perfect number for me, as the only thing I've been saying for weeks is I hope I'm in the front of the last group of people...and that's exactly where I was. While standing in line, I met quite a few cool Ace fans...and seeing the sea of SAO supporters wearing our shirts was so fullfilling, thanks you guys! But sorry, it was not QUITE as fulfilling as the next part of my story...

As the line had dwindled down to the last thirty, ace's bodyguard came out the back door. In a feeble attempt to get something to Ace without upsetting him, I tried to explain to this guy who I was, and that I had a gift for ace that I didn't feel was appropriate to give to him right now. The gift was a 30-plus page bound book designed by Tes (The other SAO Chick) containing all the condolences that have poured in to our site since Ace's mom passed away. At that time, and in a feeble attempt on his part to blow me off, he told me to just give it to Ace and Ace could put it in the corner and take it home later. And that was all she wrote on that conversation. Obviously he didn't get it...about 15 minutes later, the owner of the coffeehouse comes out, tells us it will be about 15 more minutes...Ace is eating dinner, and he's in a great mood. He also brings out a coke for the police officer manning the door. As he hands the soda to the officer, he makes mention that Ace touched the cup...and in a valiant effort on the cops part to show that HE gets it, he lifts the coke above his head and says "Ace touched this cup! The bidding starts at 100 bucks!" and we all had a good laugh at that.

True to their word, 10 minutes later the door opened and they allowed the first 15 of the last 30 in (might I add that this was much better organized and controlled than the birthday bash was, and props go to the coffeehouse employees, management and owners for handling this in such a professional way) and here's where the story really begins!

As I'm walking towards the front of the line...I just keep repeating "look at my pretty Ace!"..."oh my god...he's so pretty!"..."look at him..he's beautiful!" and everyone around me is laughing...
*Tes' note - If Jeni ever says those things to you...fair warning..it's a trick to get yer ass kicked! NObody is to look at "Jeni's pretty" except for Jeni!!
So the way it was set up for VIPs is...you literally got a 2 minute private audience with THE Man! and yes ladies...it DOES hang to the left! and it's definately real! Finally it's my turn...and I must've had the dumbest giggly look on my face as I was walking up. I threw my jacket down on the table, put his gift bag on top of the jacket, and went to hand him the book of condolences in an envelope. I said ace I've got a few things here for ya...this one is a gift for you & your family...I dont mean to upset you with it, but me & tes put together a book of all the condolences we've received for you since your mom passed away....you don't have look at it now...

he kinda peeked into the envelope, saw the pictures of his mom, and looked down at me...at that time...a lightbulb goes off in HIS head! (and in that special Ace-ified new yawk accent, this is what he said) "you're the girl from the website! you talk to my manager, carol! I just want to personally thank you for running such an amazing website!" at this point, I am no longer in earth's atmosphere...I'm somewhere floating even above jendell...his bodyguard walks over to get a bottle of water, and ACE looks at his bodyguard and introduces ME to him, as if I'm his long lost friend! he says "THIS is the girl from the website!" and the bodyguard says "I know, she told me outside!" (he seemed to change his tune when he found out it was a website ACE knew about, huh?)
it was at that point that I directed Ace's attention back to the gifts in the bag,

which contained: a box of constant comment (Ace's tea of choice), the birthday card Tes neglected to give to him in 02! a puzzle ring in a spade design, and an extremely heartfelt engraved bracelet from me & Tes to him. Ace looked at me and asked "You want me to open it now, or save it for later?" I said no, no, open it now! and removed the ribbon from the box. he pulls the bracelet out and says "Its beautiful! What's it say?" So I read him the message:

Ace says "Thank you, thank you! It's beautiful! Its beautiful, thank you!" then...I lay the jacket out to be signed...he looks at the jacket,, looks at me, then back at the jacket...and says "This is good!" then he asks what color ink to use....I suggest black, and he says, "Yeah black...black black" he signs the jacket and it looks awesome!

then he says "You ready for your picture?" and when he stood up I made sure he saw the back of my shirt

which got the famous Ace cackle we were hoping for! then he put his arm around me...I think I became butter & melted in his hands...they snapped the picture, then the owner of the coffehouse walked over...and Ace took it upon himself to introduce me to him too! and he too, was privvy to spaceaceonline...and back to the end of the first 15 I go.

As I'm waiting for the next people to have their moment with ace, I had nothing better to do...than to call Tes! so I called Tes!
Tes' note...remember the chipmunks? well...i still have the message she left because i had to replay it several times to catch it all as jeni seemed to forget how to breathe!!
so I hung up the phone and realized I forgot to tell her about lefty! so I had to call her back! so then I'm back to the front of the line...and I'm snapping pictures, but they all have other people in them! it was at this moment that the owner walked past me again...I asked him if i could stand on the other side to get some better shots for the website...he siad no problem, just wait till closer to the end of the last 15...which I did. once I maneuvered myself over there to take some shots, the last guy in line is in front of ace...and im laughing...and taking pictures...and ooohing and aaahing....then Ace picks up a blank piece of paper, after he had signed the guy's box set...he looked at me as if asking permission and says to me "he came all the way from Sweden...i gotta!" I hear him ask the guy how to spell Sweden, and he writes "to the kiss army sweden...." and I was too busy taking pictures to see what the reast of it said. then it was over...but not quite over for me! I asked Ace if he would mind posing for one more picture for SAO. So he stands up, puts his hands like spiders at his temples and starts fluffing his hair! He says "I gotta fix my hair...it's flat!" to which I say "no, no, it's so pretty, Ace! just sit down!" so I snapped our exclusive picture seconds before my camera's battery died:

Thanks Ace! I thanked him then, and I'll thank him again....and there ended my personal experience with ace....

thanks again for your support! Next we walked around the corner...to the front of the hard rock cafe where the tribute band Mr. Speed was playing. While watching the tribute band, I enjoyed Four jello shots and 3 bacardi watermelon breezes. As I'm sippin' my last breeze, Ace has finished meeting all the non VIP fans in the coffeehouse and joins the band and concludes an awesome night on the stage singing Shock Me!

I would personally like to thank Ace for graciously giving up his time to spend with his fans, and making sure every fan, VIP or not, had a chance to meet him & shake his hand.
